OH-Shot

Ladies, are you experiencing vaginal dryness, discomfort, laxity issues, or urinary incontinence? You are not alone! Research shows that nearly 60% of women experience these concerns, along with other age-related problems. However, these matters do not need to be a part of your life.

OH-Shot FAQs

Within days after the treatment, most women report a noticeable improvement in their sexual arousal and orgasm intensity. The full effects of the treatment will most likely manifest after 3 months. Your provider may suggest undergoing re-treatment if the initial results aren’t as pronounced.

On a scale of 0 to 10, patients generally describe their discomfort as a 2 or 3. We take several steps to make this treatment as comfortable as possible for each patient, knowing that every person has a unique pain threshold.

This treatment is performed by trained nurse and OBGYN. Patients will have their blood drawn from the arm. This is similar to having lab work done during a routine physical. The blood is processed in a centrifuge machine that spins at high-velocity to separate plasma from red blood cells.
While blood is processing, a topical numbing substance may be applied to the tissue where injections will be administered.
After PRP has been isolated in a syringe, the substance is injected into specific areas to address concerns discussed during our consultation.

Patients do not require any downtime with an OH-Shot treatment, and the risk of side effects is low largely due to the biological nature of PRP. The growth factors contained in platelet-rich plasma soothe the minor irritation that occurs from injections. However, as PRP is absorbed in the vaginal tissues slight swelling may develop. The injection areas may also feel slightly sore. These occurrences are expected to resolve in a day or two.

This treatment does not provide permanent results. Longevity of results is completely dependent on the person. Many women enjoy the benefits for up to 2 years and sometimes longer. However, other may notice improvements for 6 months to a year after treatment. When results begin to wane, many opt for another treatment. Studies show that opting for a second treatment 6-12 months after the first, will extend the results achieved.

During treatments, you will not experience any pain, pinching, snapping, or heat. You will experience a cooling sensation during treatment. Hair will become thinner and lighter as treatments continue. The goal is to see an 80% reduction in hair growth within 5-6 sessions.

Hair growth will reduce by 20-30% after the first session. The following sessions will yield a lesser percentage in reduction than the previous treatment. Thus requiring multiple treatments to reach an ideal reduction of 80%.

Overtime the cells damaged in the hair follicle will regenerate. Maintenance treatments are recommended every 6 months to 1 year to prolong results.

Small treatment areas like underarms or upper lip take minutes. Larger treatment areas such as legs will take an average of 1-2 hours. The amount of time depends on the size of the treatment area.

Those with thicker, dark hair typically requires 1 or 2 sessions less than those with thinner, blonde hair. It usually varies from person to person, but the average is 5 sessions to achieve an 80% reduction in hair growth. Sessions are done in intervals dependent on the hair being in it’s anagen phase of growth. Face treatments are spaced 2-4 weeks, mid-section & arms 4-6 weeks, and lower body 6-8 weeks.
