Radiesse

Achieve a more youthful appearance with the dermal filler that addresses facial texture and structure plus stimulates collagen and elastin production. Radiesse is the only FDA-approved dermal filler with a Calcium and Hyaluronic Acid (CaHA) portfolio that is the secret to instant volume and deep cell and tissue regeneration.

Radiesse is used to target certain areas of face, neck, chest, and hands. It improves skin laxity while smoothing moderate to severe wrinkles, folds, and volume loss. When injected, it restores volume to the area by mimicking connective tissue while working beneath the surface to aid your skin in developing new collagen. Noticeable improvements are seen immediately after receiving a treatment and last upwards of a year.

Radiesse FAQs

Radiesse improves texture and structure by replacing volume loss in specific areas. This treatment reduces signs of aging, enhances facial features, fills wrinkles and folds, and can help re-contour the nose, cheeks, and jawline. Radiesse also stimulates collagen production providing extended benefits that persist after the body has metabolized the filler itself.
Radiesse contains a different composition, than other fillers, that is calcium-based. Due to this, it cannot be reversed or dissolved like hyaluronic acid-based fillers can. However, Radiesse is known to be the longest-lasting type of filler and is designed to target more severe volume loss and wrinkles.
Full results of this treatment are typically visible after one week, but it is possible that your results will improve overtime. Longevity of these results vary from person to person based on how fast or slow your body metabolizes the filler gel. Results tend to last 18 to 24 months.
Patients with severe volume loss, wrinkles, lines, and folds are the best candidates for this treatment.
Potential side effects include temporary bruising, swelling, redness, itching, and discomfort from the injection. Allergic reactions, infection, and lumps or nodules are also a potential outcome but are rare.

During treatments, you will not experience any pain, pinching, snapping, or heat. You will experience a cooling sensation during treatment. Hair will become thinner and lighter as treatments continue. The goal is to see an 80% reduction in hair growth within 5-6 sessions.

Hair growth will reduce by 20-30% after the first session. The following sessions will yield a lesser percentage in reduction than the previous treatment. Thus requiring multiple treatments to reach an ideal reduction of 80%.

Overtime the cells damaged in the hair follicle will regenerate. Maintenance treatments are recommended every 6 months to 1 year to prolong results.

Small treatment areas like underarms or upper lip take minutes. Larger treatment areas such as legs will take an average of 1-2 hours. The amount of time depends on the size of the treatment area.

Those with thicker, dark hair typically requires 1 or 2 sessions less than those with thinner, blonde hair. It usually varies from person to person, but the average is 5 sessions to achieve an 80% reduction in hair growth. Sessions are done in intervals dependent on the hair being in it’s anagen phase of growth. Face treatments are spaced 2-4 weeks, mid-section & arms 4-6 weeks, and lower body 6-8 weeks.

Yes, there are a few limitations. After treatment it is much advised to avoid excessive heat and sweating for 24-48 hours, avoid shaving for at least 3 days, and limit sun exposure to the treatment area for 2 weeks. This is all to prevent irritation and inflammation.
