1. NO sun exposure and/or tanning bed exposure for 2-4 weeks prior to and following your NaturaPeel treatment. If you have had exposure to the sun, please notify your practitioner as we may reschedule your appointment. This also goes for active spray tans on the treated area.
2. Please inform your practitioner of any changes in any prescriptions and /or certain medications can increase photo-sensitivity which may affect the outcome of your treatment.
3. Discontinue use of any Retinol (ex. Retin A or tretinoin) products at least 7 days prior to your treatments.
4. If you have a history of cold sores, please inform your practitioner. We will prescribe an antiviral to begin 1 day prior to your treatment and three days following to decrease the risk of an outbreak
NaturaPeel is not painful but most people report feeling heat or a slightly “zappy” sensation. This treatment should never be uncomfortable.
Light skin redness is typical after any laser treatment and will subside after a few hours. Your skin will immediately look glossy, tightened, lighted, and smooth. Light peeling or flaking can occur a few days after as your epidermis sheds the dead skin revealing new, healthy skin. Your skin may feel slightly sunburned and if so a cold compress can be applied as needed to reduce swelling and discomfort.
