Microneedling with SkinPen®

Microneedling is a minimally invasive collagen induction procedure used to rejuvenate skin, reduce acne scarring, and reduce aging signs. It also rejuvenates skin that is tired and wrinkled. At LCV Beauty Aesthetics, we use SkinPen®, the only FDA-approved device, to help stimulate the body’s natural wound healing process. SkinPen induces the skin’s self-healing process by creating thousands of micro-traumas in the dermis. Since new collagen is created automatically without causing scarring, SkinPen is safe to use on everyone.

Microneedling with SkinPen® FAQs

SkinPen®, a medical-grade, state-of-the-art microneedling device, is the only microneedling device available through medical professionals. Depending on the severity of the condition of your skin, treatment typically takes 30 minutes to an hour.

Because of its variable needle depth, SkinPen® can be used on many parts of the body, including the face, neck, and décolletage. 

Topical anesthesia is applied prior to treatment. During treatment, you will feel a slight vibration from the SkinPen®.
 
Skin continues to repair itself several weeks after treatment. Accumulated damage may not disappear right away. You may not be able to notice the final result for six months after your final treatment. Individual results may vary.
Based on your specific goals and the general condition of your skin, the number of procedures required may vary. Typically, patients undergo three procedures four weeks apart.
Healing times vary from person to person. Following microneedling, patients may experience a little swelling, redness, and pinkness (like a mild to moderate sunburn) for two to four days. The skin usually returns back to normal within 24 hours.
